Political Education is a hallmark of CJI, and in our experience, the sessions go deep. We want to build and learn throughout conferences so we can work from a foundation of shared knowledge and trust, to drill down to the complex work of movement building. Sessions address practical steps to working together given the needs and obstacles faced by various marginalized communities while cultivating shared values to which participants can hold themselves and one another accountable.
CJI’s monthly series of “Education & Strategy Webinars” are led by activists and organizers fighting back against criminalization and incarceration around the country. Political Education, Conferences, and free Strategy Webinars inform our strategies for future funding priorities.
